Q: How do I post something to the auction/freebies/want ads?
A: First you need to register. You can do so by clicking on the Register Link in the menu on the left. Fill in the form and press the submit button. You will receive an email shortly that will contain the password that you need to post on our site.
Now you can go to the auction, freebies or want ads (whichever one you want to post to), and click on the "Post New Item" link that is at the bottom of the page. Follow the instructions and fill in the form(s) with the requested data and enter your alias and password and you will be given a preview of what your post will look like. Click the post button and it is posted!

Q: The password I was given when I registered is difficult to remember. Can I change it?
A: Yes, just go to either the auction, freebies or want ads and click on the "Change Registration Info" link at the bottom of the page. The form that comes up will allow you to change not just your password, but any of your contact information as well.

Q: I am having problems including an image with my post to the auction/freebies/want ads. What am I doing wrong?
A: It may not be your fault, but try these steps first:
- Make sure your image is either JPEG or GIF format
- Make sure your image is no bigger than 200 pixels tall by 200 pixels wide
- Try starting over and re-upload the image
- Try again later
If none of these things work it might be our fault. Email us with your image's filename and any error messages that came up. Sometimes when an error message comes up there is an email link provided.

Q: How much information should I provide in my post's description?
A: As much as possible. Remember, the more information, the more interested you can make a potential buyer. Try to include a picture too, after all, a picture is worth a thousand words!

Q: How does the Auto-bidding work on the auction?
A: By providing an initial bid, a maximum bid, your alias and password, the auction system can keep track of the item you auto-bidded on, and when someone else bids on the item, automatically bids again for you, upto but not exceeding your maximum bid. This does not mean that if you win an item it will be at your maximum bid, unless someone else bid higher than you until your maximum was reached and then the bidding closed.

eg: There is an item with a current bid of $1500, you place an auto-bid starting at $1600 (must be higher than the current bid) and ending at the maximum bid of $3600. Someone else then bids on the item. Seeing the current bid of $1600 (your initial bid) they bid $1700. The auto-bidder then bids $1800 for you. If the auction then closed, you would win the item for $1800. But if someone bid $3500, the auto-bidder would then bid $3600 for you. If the auction closed now, you would win the item for $3600. But if someone bid $3700 before the auction closed, that person would win because the auto-bidder knows to stop bidding for you at $3600.
